Has Cheltenham races ever been Cancelled?
Yes, it was cancelled in 2001 due to the foot & mouth crisis. It wasn’t cancelled in 2020, just as the Covid-19 pandemic was breaking out in the UK, it was the last major sporting event to survive before restrictions came in. In 2021 the festival took place but without crowds.
